BREAKING THE HABIT OF
ASANAS
A New Perspective on Yoga
In ‘Breaking the Habit of Asanas,’ we’ll explore flexibility, mobility, strength, balance, and awareness through unconventional approaches. This isn’t about perfecting poses or sticking to strict rules. Instead, we’ll focus on integrating fluidity, awareness, and curiosity into our practice. Expect to break away from the linear, predictable patterns of traditional yoga and dive into a creative space where we challenge the idea of what’s “right” or “wrong.”

Event Program:
Day 1 (Afternoon):
Introduction to Flexibility and Mobility
Start your journey by exploring movement beyond traditional yoga poses. The practice is designed to combine postures and elements that integrate both flexibility and mobility, achieving more efficient results in range of motion and flexibility than when these pillars are worked on separately. We’ll use creative techniques to help you gain a deeper range of motion and fluidity.
Day 3:
Strength and Balance
The morning focuses on dynamic movements to build strength and stability, integrating everything from previous sessions. In the afternoon, we’ll dive into an “Asana Lab,” breaking down different postures, finding their key elements, and exploring how tension, compression, and anatomy affect each pose. This will help you personalize your practice and align it with your goals.
Day 2 (Afternoon): Flexibility Without Limits
This practice will be paced more slowly, allowing you to explore each element with greater attention and mindfulness. We’ll focus on how holding different postures for a longer duration can bring significant benefits to flexibility. Breathing techniques will also play a fundamental role, helping you deepen each posture and experience greater openness in your practice.
Day 4:
Awareness and Curiosity
We’ll have a session to explore how asanas align with the chakra system, understanding that the physical body is the vehicle and gateway to connect with the energetic body. Asanas will be used as an excellent tool to work in detail on these energetic centers. We will close the workshop with a cacao ceremony to celebrate this wonderful shared experience.
